 Car Wax

In the 1940s, a company in Chicago developed a new product for automotive paint protection called turtle wax. This wax went on to remain as the most common method of paint protection for vehicles for a long period of time. Turtle wax was derived from a substance known as ‘carnauba’ found in Brazil. While car wax does provide a glossy shine to the exterior of cars, they do not last a very long time and need to be reapplied every few months.

Contrary to popular belief, 9H on a protective paint voting does not refer to the Mohs hardness scale, which is a scientific rating of the hardness of minerals. The application time should be no longer than 30 minutes when performed very slowly. The method of application is very easy too. Start with a clean vehicle with cool panels in a shaded area. Then spray the product a couple of times onto a clean plush microfiber towel and spread evenly over the panel. Use just enough product so that it is detectable on the surface during application. Make sure to spread it thoroughly and evenly over the panel.

As with all vehicle surface wiping, only wipe in an aerodynamic pattern over each panel. After applying, use a second clean microfiber towel and wipe until the surface is completely clear.
